Based on the short film, visual artist and filmmaker Luisa Eugeni developed an almost hour-long performance for Filmfest Bremen that makes the film re-readable in an expanded performance situation with performers, dancers and musicians. The performance took place at Schaumburg in Bremen as an expected event for the cinema audience. The performers were sitting scattered among the various cinema seats, shoulder-to-shoulder with the public, the stage is the whole screening room. The projection screen became in this practice expanded: the various performances, inspired by actors' interpretations of Gabrio gabrielli's life, make him confront, not only with his cinematic image, but also with others' stories of himself recreated during the performance.
Between bizarre performative elements, sung, feelings and places from the film and passages from the interview text on which the finished film is based, the boundaries between theatre, performance and documentary film blur into a multi-perspective hybrid portrait of a dancer.
