For the live performance, the dancers were inspired by reports about individual people affected by the natural disaster of 2016 and developed their character figures from them. The characters have been developed according to the conversations held with Giulia Scandolava, author of “I got the earthquake” and “A humanitarian survey: exposing material and social damage in a fragile country,” as well as several articles on the post-earthquake 2016.

Slow, groping walking, disorientated waiting, returning to the same places over and over again, and seemingly compulsive repetitions of individual gestures are central motifs with which Gabrielli, Jäger, and Stella express states of restlessness, desperate searching, frustration, and anger.
