The work exhibited is presented as an expanded painting in the making. The artist, thanks to the collaboration and support of the Fondazione Fedrigoni Fabriano, builds an installation triggered by a performance re-enactments of the rags sorting, the initial act in the work cycle of paper creation.

On the occasion of the opening of the exhibition, the performer Anna Jäger looped this action of the “stracciarole” - the women to whom this first phase was entrusted - honouring the value and contribution of these long invisible figures.

The performance, hosted in the Bevilacqua La Masa exhibition spaces, continued for around two and half hours.

The traces of the act where left on site, visually as a huge pile of torn rags and in the form of permanent sound installation.
